O*NET has released a new research report entitled "Greening of the World of Work: Implications for O*NET-SOC and New and Emerging Occupations". This report investigates the greening of the world of work, the impact of the Green economy on existing occupations, and identifies new and emerging green occupations. The report is available in the Research and Technical Reports section of the O*NET Resource Center.
Workforce Information Grant Allotments Issued

ETA Announces Competitive State LMI Improvement Grants
On May 15, 2009, ETA issued a Training and Employment Notice (TEN) 44-08 to the workforce community outlining initial plans for awarding green job training funds. One of the competitive grants is a competition to collect, analyze, and disseminate labor market information, as well as develop a labor exchange infrastructure to direct individuals to careers in the energy efficiency and renewable energy sectors.
